This is a great opportunity to gain supervisor experience, refine public relation skills, organize your own events and programs, and coach others. </p><p><strong><u>DEFINITION</u></strong></p><p>Under direction from the Recreation Coordinator and Pool Manager, assist in organizing schedules and supervises the daily operation of the City’s pool and its programs, classes, and activities; promotes and implements procedures and established policies for safe recreation environment and responsible pool use conduct; reports and records complaints, special requests, safety and security issues and illegal activities; performs related work as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED</u></strong></p><p>Supervision is provided by the Recreation Coordinator and Pool Manager. Supervision is exercised by this classification. </p>

Example combinations include:</p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Three (3) years of aquatics recreation work experience as a paid Instructor/Lifeguard, with some experience providing work direction to pool and aquatic facility staff is preferred.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u> REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES </u></p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Valid certificate in Water Safety Instructor (WSI). </li><li>Valid certificate in Lifeguard Training.</li><li>Valid certificate in First Aid. </li><li>Valid certificate in CPR/AED</li><li>Valid California Driver’s License.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><u>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS</u></p><p>The physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
