Position Summary

The Senior Rehabilitation Specialist at Mettle Works Behavioral Health provides advanced rehabilitation support to clients while serving as a leader for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). This role combines direct client care with staff supervision, training, program growth, and cross-department collaboration. The Senior Specialist is responsible for driving client engagement, ensuring service quality, and leading innovative initiatives that align with the mission of Mettle Works Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

Client Services & Rehabilitation

  • Deliver advanced rehabilitation services, including assessments, skill-building, psychoeducation, and individualized recovery support.
  • Design, implement, and monitor person-centered rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients, families, and treatment teams.
  • Facilitate structured group and individual sessions focused on life skills, coping strategies, and community reintegration.
  • Maintain a monthly caseload of 5- 7 adult clients

Leadership, Supervision & Training

  • Supervise the PRP team, providing mentorship, oversight, and accountability to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor census and productivity standards to ensure program sustainability and growth
  • Review and approve staff timesheets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations
  • Assist in training new and current staff on best practices, policies, and program standards.
  • Encourage staff to contribute creative ideas that enhance programming, service delivery, and client engagement.
  • Facilitate hiring, training, and disciplinary processes in coordination with HR
  • Promote professional growth, teamwork, and innovation within the PRP team.
  • Step in and conduct PRP group sessions in the event of staff absence when no other team member is available to cover

Program Development & Growth

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that attract new clients and expand service offerings.
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts to ensure steady program growth.
  • Monitor program outcomes, track progress, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Administration

  • Partner with other company leaders to align PRP goals with overall organizational objectives.
  • Work closely with clinicians, case managers, and external providers to ensure integrated care and client success.
  • Document interventions, progress notes, and program reports in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention and maintain adherence to safety protocols when needed.

 

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain program documentation and clinical records in accordance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and state/federal guidelines.
  • Ensure timely documentation and billing practices to support revenue cycle management.
  • Lead audits and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Complete and submit all required authorization documentation

 

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or CPRP required.
  • Required M.D license or certification: LMSW, LGPC, or CPRP
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in behavioral health rehabilitation or related human services.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience required; PRP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding staff.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles, recovery-oriented practices, and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate staff, generate program growth, and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if community-based services are required.

Salary Information

$75000.0 - $85000.0 Annual Salary
