Intake Coordinator (Full-Time | Remote)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST

Full-Time | $20–$22 per hour | 40 hours per week

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you’ll be a key part of the patient journey—ensuring a smooth, informed, and positive start to care.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide new patients through the intake process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently

  • Verify insurance benefits across multiple payers, including coverage for medications and therapies

  • Request and track prior authorizations, proactively managing renewals before expiration

  • Enter and maintain patient information in electronic systems with a high level of accuracy

  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding coverage details and expected out-of-pocket costs

  • Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless transition into care

  • Navigate multiple insurance portals and websites daily

  • Deliver exceptional customer service that enhances the overall patient experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a customer service role; background as a medical receptionist or intake coordinator is highly preferred

  • Working knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

  • Solid understanding of insurance benefits, prior authorizations, and coverage terminology

  • Strong administrative and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism

  • Clear, compassionate communication skills—both verbal and written

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Experience Requirements

  • Prior authorization experience: 1 year (required)

  • Insurance benefits verification: 2 years (required)

  • IV infusion experience: 1 year (preferred)
