Description:
Bright Beginnings Childcare Center is seeking reliable, nurturing, and flexible On-Call/Substitute Teachers to support our classrooms as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children, can step into different age groups with confidence, and value a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous childcare or early childhood experience preferred
- Must meet state licensing requirements for childcare staff
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Requirements
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks-5 years
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate ratios
- Follow daily schedules, lesson plans, and classroom routines
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring safety and well-being
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff and management
- Follow all center policies, state licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures
Schedule & Availability
- On-call / as-needed hours
- Flexible scheduling: shifts may be offered on short notice
- Hours may vary based on staffing needs
