Join the team as Quality Control Supervisor!

Part-time position on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Quality Control Supervisor ensures a high standard of guest experience, operational efficiency, and site cleanliness during weekend operations at the Alamo. As many department managers are not on-site during weekends, this position provides essential oversight and support to frontline teams, including Guest Experience, Living History, Interpretation, IT/AV and Facilities. The coordinator acts as the senior point of contact for quality assurance, cross-departmental coordination, and issue resolution during weekends.

Responsibilities

Oversight and Quality Control:

o Monitor the Alamo grounds and exhibit areas for cleanliness, maintenance, and guest readiness.

o Ensure all public-facing areas meet high standards of presentation and safety.

o Address issues in real time or escalate when necessary.

Departmental Support:

o Serve as an on-site liaison and point of support for departments operating without managerial presence.

o Coordinate between departments to ensure smooth operation and resolve interdepartmental issues.

o Support staff morale and ensure policy adherence.

Reporting and Communication:

o Compile and submit a comprehensive Weekend Situation Report by Monday morning.

o Identify and document operational challenges, safety concerns, guest issues, and staffing observations.

o Provide suggestions for improvement and follow-up actions.

Guest Experience Support:

o Engage with guests as needed to resolve concerns and uphold the Alamos standards of hospitality.

o Assist Guest Experience team with visitor flow and crowd management during high-traffic periods.

Emergency Response & Site Monitoring:

o Act as the weekend point of contact for any incidents requiring immediate response.

o Coordinate with security or emergency services as needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience in museum operations, historic site management, hospitality, or customer service preferred.

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and observational skills.

Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and make sound judgments.

Familiarity with Alamo site operations and guest experience expectations a plus.

Excellent written communication skills for post-weekend reporting.

Deliverables:

Weekly Weekend Situation Report submitted by Monday at 9 AM, including:

o Summary of guest and staff interactions

o Maintenance or cleanliness concerns

o Departmental needs or concerns

o Recommendations for improvements
