POSITION MISSION:
Curriculum Design and Development
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality asynchronous (pre-recorded) and live-online courses in the fields of personal training, strength and conditioning, exercise science, and emerging industry trends.
- High-Quality Course Development: Create new asynchronous or live-online continuing education courses that meet industry standards for continuing education
- Learner Success and Satisfaction: Achieve a minimum 90% learner satisfaction rate by delivering clear, engaging, and application-focused instructional content
- Educational Leadership: Uphold Focus Personal Training Institute as a premier provider of education in fitness and performance training through innovative, research-backed course offerings
- Professional Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and industry leaders to maintain cutting-edge, credible, and practical course content
Curriculum Design and Development
- Design, script, and build asynchronous and live-online courses that align with professional continuing education standards for personal trainers
- Translate complex exercise science concepts into accessible, interactive, and trainer-focused lessons
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructor resources for remote and self-paced learning
- Apply principles of adult learning and instructional design to create cohesive, outcome-driven learning pathways
- Incorporate media assets (video, audio, and visuals) to enhance engagement and knowledge retention
- Ensure all course materials meet CEU approval standards from NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or similar organizations
- Lead virtual lectures, workshops, and Q&A sessions via Zoom or equivalent platforms
- Deliver pre-recorded educational courses that are interactive, clear, and relevant to practicing professionals
- Provide learner feedback, facilitate discussions, and maintain consistent engagement across online cohorts
- Support learners in achieving applied competency and real-world integration of training principles
- Foster a sense of community among event attendees, encouraging networking and engagement
- Gather and analyze feedback from attendees to continuously improve future events
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align event promotions with broader branding and marketing strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Demonstrated teaching or academic experience at the college or professional level
- All candidates must have prior on-camera instructional experience and must be proficient in digital technology
- Experience designing or teaching courses in fitness, exercise science, or continuing education
- Demonstrated experience with asynchronous or hybrid course design is preferred
- Remote teaching experience using Zoom or similar platforms
- Familiarity with CEU approval processes and continuing education standards for fitness professionals
- Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and digital education methodologies
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to teach, explain, and simplify complex concepts in both written and verbal formats
- Knowledge of current personal training methodologies, corrective exercise, performance enhancement, recovery, and longevity
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset for working with internal and external stakeholders
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high academic and professional standards
