Position Purpose
The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of First Fed software application systems and the related infrastructure. This individual will perform technical research to enable continuing innovation of First Fed’s technology infrastructure and ensure that operating systems, software systems, and related processes effectively support internal customers, KPI’s and SLA’s.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Help maintain systems, security protocols and access controls.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to optimize system and software performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve user issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Participate in disaster recovery drills and testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Prepare reports on system performance and incident resolutions.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing security policies and protocols.
- Participate in security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that support business objectives.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending IT hardware and software purchases.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate’s degree in information technology or other technical degree or equivalent technology experience preferred.
- Minimum of two year’s experience in system administration required.
- Technical Certifications are desirable.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Power Platform, SharePoint, and PowerShell desirable.
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to investigate, interpret and document end user communications.
Physical Requirements
The work requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment, such as personal computers, printers, copying machines and telephones. The work requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on telephones. Work activities involve combinations of sitting/standing for extended periods.
Pay Range
- The pay range for this position is $31.48 - $53.52 per hour
- The typical hiring range for this position is $31.48 - $36.12 per hour
- The incentive plan for this position is the Partnership Incentive plan. It is paid out quarterly with a 5% target payout.
