Pharmacist (coverage)
Location: Eglin AFB, FL (96th Medical Group)
Schedule: M-F (0630-1830 for a minimum of 8 hours per day. 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Duty Hours:
Normal duty hours will be between 0630–1830, 5 days per week up to 80 hours per 2 weeks, where the Pharmacist shall be on duty in their assigned location located in the 96 MDG. The workday is comprised of 8 work hours, but up to 10 work hours per shift and a one-hour non-working (non-paid) lunch period.
Minimum Qualifications
• Degree/Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
• Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): The contractor shall hold current American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Healthcare Provider (HCP) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certification granted based solely on computer-based training does not constitute fulfillment of this requirement. This training is NOT provided by the government.
• Experience: Two years of professional pharmacy experience within the last three years.
• Licensure/Registration: Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Duties:
• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
• Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
• Compound medications as required.
• Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security.
• Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
• The Pharmacist's productivity is expected to be comparable to that of others assigned to the same position and authorized the same scope of care, with minimal supervisory direction. The contracted employee shall maintain a level of productivity and quality consistent with complexity of the assignment; facility policies and guidelines; established principles, ethics, and standards of practice of professional pharmacists, The Joint Commission, Unit Effectiveness Inspection, Florida State Law and all applicable Federal Regulations along with other applicable DoD and service specific guidance and policies.
