Trusco, located in Clarksville, TN, is looking to grow our team with an Outside Sales opportunity. Our OSR's are expected to provide high level of service to our customers with a strong working knowledge of the truss design and manufacturing process. This position's focus is selling truss systems to various clients, including: residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors.

Primary Role Expectations:
- Promote and sell truss systems to new and existing customers.
- Conduct pricing and estimating for truss projects.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support.
- Expedite orders efficiently and courteously.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Understand building code requirements and ensure compliance.
- Travel to customer locations and construction sites.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in truss or building material sales
- Knowledge of wood frame construction, roof/ floor truss systems and wall panels
- Ability to read architectural plans and blueprints
- Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize time and work efficiently
- Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become problems for our customer.
- Knowledge of current local codes associated with truss design (TPI)
- Ability to effectively communicate with architects, engineers, customers and team members both orally and in writing.
- Valid Driver’s License- meets company driver acceptability guidelines
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Frequent travel to customer locations and construction sites, which may involve walking, standing, and moving around uneven terrain.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying materials or samples, typically up to 60lbs.
- Ability to handle and manipulate small tools and materials.
- Good vision for reading blueprints, technical drawings, and computer screens.
- Clear verbal communication for interacting with clients and team members
- Work is split between office settings, home offices, and outdoor construction sites.
- Exposure to various weather conditions when visiting construction sites.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots when on-site.
- May include irregular hours to meet client needs and project deadlines.
