Schechter Boston is looking for an EEC Certified Floater Teacher to join Gan Shelanu, our Early Childhood Program immediately. The ideal candidate will have experience and a love for working with children. We are looking for someone who can create a nurturing and exciting environment for young learners.

Job Duties
As a floating teacher you will have the opportunity to work in several different classrooms throughout the school. In addition, you will:

  • Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children

  • Develop activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children

  • Clearly and effectively communicate with children, parents and staff

  • Supervise children at all times

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate must be warm, nurturing and passionate about working with young children

  • EEC certification required, preferably Massachusetts EEC Director I or II certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree and background in education/early childhood education preferred

  • Two years of relevant work experience, preferred

  • Able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds

Details

  • Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM
  • Salary is $42,000-$75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
