ACTIA Corporation has been manufacturing quality vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for growing markets such as Off-Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles for over 30 years. ACTIA Group is an international group based in Toulouse, France.

We are currently looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Sales Assistant is responsible for the development of the Electronics business and sales with existing products, product families, or new products and services to be developed to fit into the ACTIA Strategy. This position assists the BDM in targeting and acquiring new business opportunities with existing customers and key Bus & Coach, Off-Highway, and other large specialty vehicle OEM targets.


Job Specific Competencies:


Sales and Marketing

  • Assists BDM in promoting in-vehicle network products and onboard electronics in the North American Market through various channels (i.e. LinkedIN & E-mail)
  • Assists in development and execution of Go-To-Market (G2M) strategy for selected customers and/or target markets through direct campaigns
  • Assists in moving prospective customers through various stages of sales pipeline
  • Research target account demographics, news articles, financials, personnel changes, etc to be able to relay important account updates to BDM
  • Prepares Powerpoint presentations and maintains project status documents (Excel)
  • Assists in creating Feasibility requests with Engineering Project Managers
  • Potential to attend trade shows
  • Understands at a high-level the products and services offered by ACTIA 
  • May interact directly with customers in a support role while BDM is traveling
  • Posts and interacts with potential leads on LinkedIN with BDM account access

Collaboration

  • Develops relationships with both new and existing customers
  • Collaborates with key engineers from ACTIA and customers to ensure accurate comprehension and understanding of requirements and deliverables 
  • Consult with technical support, accounting, inside sales and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collaborates and provides daily support with BDM as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing manager to produce customer-facing collateral, trade show planning, outbound lead generation campaigns, and presentation material

Legal Compliance

  • Ensure legal compliance with state, federal, and OSHA requirements
  • Ensure ISO procedures are followed
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Working Conditions

  • Movement - This position requires bending, standing, stooping, walking, and lifting
  • Operate/Use - Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., copier, printer, calculator)
  • Ascend/Descend - Rarely ascends/descends stairs to reach archived files
  • Communicate - This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers and supervisors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Transport - This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moving up to 50 pounds for various needs.
  • Work Environment - Relatively quiet but fast paced.
  • Travel - Limited travel for educational opportunities & potential trade shows
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications and Education

  • Associate’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar, Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • 2 plus years with business and/or sales experience
  • Technical background or Electronics knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High sense of urgency; organizational skills and time management
  • Flexible, self-motivated, dependable and prompt
  • Ethical, honest, and trustworthy
  • Motivated to get to the next level in the Sales department
