Position Summary

Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking an OB/GYN Physician to join our growing Women’s Health team in a 100% outpatient setting. This role is focused exclusively on ambulatory women’s health services within a collaborative, patient centered environment.

There are no deliveries, no operating room responsibilities, and no inpatient rounding. Physicians work a predictable weekday schedule, allowing for excellent work life balance while providing meaningful, community based care.

Schedule Highlights

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • No nights

  • No weekends

  • No holidays

  • 100% outpatient practice

  • No deliveries and no surgical responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient women’s health care including well woman exams, acute visits, and family planning services

  • Deliver evidence based outpatient obstetrical care for low to moderate risk patients

  • Perform in office gynecologic procedures including annual exams, contraception counseling, LARC insertion and removal, colposcopy, biopsies, and menopausal care

  • Coordinate care with Women’s Health providers, primary care teams, and clinical leadership

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record

  • Complete billing and close clinical tasks in accordance with organizational policy

  • Refer patients appropriately for diagnostic testing, specialty care, and follow up

  • Participate in peer review, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation readiness

  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and medical assistants

  • Rotate across multiple outpatient clinic locations as needed

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN residency or board approved equivalent

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN

  • Active or eligible Florida medical license

  • Active or eligible DEA registration

  • Prior outpatient OB/GYN experience preferred

  • Current BLS certification

  • Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems preferred

  • Bilingual Spanish and English strongly preferred but not required

Loan Repayment & Financial Support – NHSC

Tampa Family Health Centers is an NHSC approved site, making this position eligible for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.

Qualifying OB/GYN Physicians may receive:

  • Up to $80,000 or more in federal student loan repayment for an initial two year full time service commitment

  • Additional loan repayment opportunities for extended service commitments, based on NHSC guidelines and continued eligibility

NHSC loan repayment is in addition to base compensation, PTO, and TFHC benefits, making this role especially attractive for physicians seeking long term financial relief while practicing outpatient medicine.
