Essential Functions:
- Inspect, test and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
- Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Connect cables, tubes and wiring, according to specifications.
- Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.
- Read drawings, wire schematics and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of mechanical or electromechanical units.
- Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
- Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and Verniers.
- Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies, using grease paddles or oilcans.
- Drill, tap, ream, countersink and spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills.
Other Duties:
- Attend daily production meetings, providing any information pertinent to sales order delivery or following up on any requests.
- Suggest and implement improvements pertinent to job assignment and responsibilities.
- Work with other team members as requested to make process improvements throughout organization.
- Ownership and accountability for housekeeping in work area.
- Red-line any inaccuracies in drawings, work instructions or procedures.

- Minimum vocational training and/or two years related on-the-job experience.
- Ability to read 2D and 3D drawings and basic electrical symbiology.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
