 General Labor employees must:  

  • Possess a valid TWIC.
  • Steel-toe boots/shoes.
  • are not using cellular phones while on duty.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.  


SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a General Laborer at Enstructure, you will support terminal and warehouse operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks to help ensure the safe and efficient movement of cargo. Duties may include cargo handling, equipment spotting, sweeping, cleaning, and assisting equipment operators and supervisors as needed. This role requires individuals who are dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in an outdoor, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.

Candidates must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed, including extended schedules of 6 to 7 consecutive days during peak operations.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Perform general warehouse housekeeping and sanitation, including sweeping and cleaning of the dock, parking lot, and other areas as needed.
  • Operate floor scrubbing equipment and assist with overall warehouse organization.
  • Conduct slating and de-slating of products as required.
  • Load and unload containers manually or using a forklift.
  • Maintain and organize pallet inventory efficiently.
  • Handle, transport, and store materials safely and appropriately.
  • Operate power tools and machinery (e.g., cutting tools, forklifts) as needed.
  • Demonstrate leadership by setting an example in appearance, attendance, attitude, responsibility, and dedication to company values.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in work and dock areas.
  • Ensure all goods are stored in their designated locations for efficient access and retrieval.
  • Perform quality control checks as assigned.
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed before the end of each shift.
  • Support and participate in special projects as needed.
  • Work independently, using sound judgment, initiative, and professionalism in all responsibilities.
  • Adhere to company safety policies, including OSHA regulations and procedures.
  • Notify the supervisor of unsafe conditions or not in the best interest of the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Education & Experience Requirement: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all team roles and a strong willingness to perform any required responsibilities.

  • Minimum of 6 months of hands-on warehouse experience in quality auditing.
  • Familiarity with import/export documentation and regulatory requirements.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: 

  • Ability to regularly stand, walk long distances, and talk and hear. 
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms to grab, handle, or feel, and reach.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders or stairs. 
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds, with assistance or lifting machinery as necessary. 
  • Must wear Seaonus required safety PPE, Safety vest, hardhat, gloves, etc. 
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Working indoors and outdoors. 
  • Excessive heat or cold, extreme weather conditions, excessive humidity or dampness, or chilling. 
  • Slippery and uneven walking surfaces. 
  • Work around moving objects, vehicles, and moving machinery/heavy equipment. 

7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Weekends and Holidays as needed, Overtime, and extended schedules of 6 to 7 consecutive days during peak operations.
