This individual will play a critical role in bringing accounting operations fully in-house while leading financial oversight across all live productions. The Controller will have direct visibility into event-level financial performance and will partner closely with leadership to forecast, budget, and evaluate profitability across each production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost forecasting and budgeting for live events (venue rental, staging, lighting, production, etc.)

  • Perform project-based accounting and financial modeling to determine event profitability

  • Reconcile event budgets on-site to prevent cost overruns

  • Transition Accounts Payable from outsourced to in-house operations

  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning and growth initiatives

  • Support the continued build-out of the internal accounting infrastructure

  • Travel to live events approximately 5–10 times annually

Qualifications:

  • CPA required

  • 7–10 years of accounting experience, ideally within live events, concerts, production studios, television production, or sports production

  • Strong cost forecasting and budgeting experience in production-based environments

  • Experience with project accounting and event-level reconciliation

  • Comfortable in a demanding, early-stage startup environment

  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset

  • Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends as events require

This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role at a company experiencing rapid growth, where your financial oversight will directly influence the success and scalability of major live productions.
