MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company dedicated to Healing the Earth. Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.


Our Seed Production Team grows, harvests, cleans, and prepares high-quality native seed from more than 100 species at our Glyndon, MN production farm.



The Opportunity

We are hiring a Seasonal Native Seed Production Technician to support operations at our Glyndon, MN production farm. Seasonal employment runs approximately April-November, with flexible start and end dates based on availability.


This is primarily an outdoor field role. Most of the season will be spent supporting crop establishment, weed management, and harvest operations. As the season transitions into Fall, there may be opportunities to assist with early-stage seed handling and processing.


This position supports day-to-day seed production activities and helps ensure native seed is properly managed from field through initial processing stages.


What You Will Do

  • Perform field-based weed control operations, including hand pulling, chemical spot treating, weed whipping, etc.
  • Help transplant new native plant crops, both by hand and using transplanting equipment.
  • Assist with seed handling during and after harvests by moving harvested materials between wagons and storage containers using pitchforks, shovels, or similar tools.
  • Assist with manual (hand) and mechanical (combine, tractor, etc.) harvests, including handling harvested material and supporting equipment use.
  • Operate or assist with small equipment for field maintenance, weed control, or harvest as needed.
  • Support facilities upkeep, shop organization, and general operational readiness.
  • Communicate with your teammates and supervisor to ensure safety, task completion, and shared understanding of the day's priorities.
  • As needed later in the season, assist with early-stage seed processing and cleaning operations.


What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Experience or strong interest in ecological restoration, agriculture, landscaping, or related field work.
  • Comfortable working primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods, as well as occasionally indoors with exposure to dust and noise (with proper PPE).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically active work.
  • Willingness to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (with assistance from MNL).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

The pay range for this role is:
20 - 20 USD per hour(Bluestem)
