The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and executing the company’s end-to-end logistics strategy across warehousing, transportation, eCommerce fulfillment, and third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships. This role ensures alignment of logistics operations with business objectives, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance standards specific to chemical manufacturing, including DOT, IATA, and IMDG.


The Manager will oversee all logistics functions from inbound material flow through outbound order fulfillment, managing internal facilities and external partners to deliver best-in-class performance in cost, service, and safety. The role also encompasses the strategic management of logistics assets such as isotainers and leased containers, ensuring optimal availability, cost control, and regulatory compliance throughout their lifecycle. The Manager plays a key part in cross-functional planning efforts, including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), ERP system optimization (Datacor), and the integration of digital platforms into Halocarbon’s fulfillment model.


This position carries enterprise-level accountability across multiple logistics channels, systems, and partners. It requires strategic planning, financial stewardship, and cross-functional leadership to ensure Halocarbon’s logistics infrastructure supports current operations while scaling for growth.


A critical leadership role, the Logistics Manager will develop and mentor a high-performing team, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and serve as a key partner to the executive team in shaping Halocarbon’s logistics network to support future growth. 


Duties and Responsibilities:


Strategy & Business Integration:

  • Serve as the Logistics Leader in S&OP and executive planning 
  • Align Logistics with commercial, operations, and customer expectations
  • Lead the integration of eCommerce and 3PL services with Halocarbon’s internal processes and service standards
  • Team Design, Dynamics, and Succession Planning   

Operational Excellence and Execution:

  • Design and implement scalable processes for inventory control, layout optimization, and labor planning
  • Direct transportation strategy and carrier performance (Parcel, LTL, FTL, International)
  • Optimize eCommerce workflows, last-mile performance and customer experience 
  • Bring best practices in warehouse and logistics managed while leverage technology to simplify, reduce reliance on manual procedures and maximize productivity
  • Ensure operational continuity and workflow efficiency by optimizing logistics functionality within the ERP system (Datacor)   

Performance Management and Financial Accountability:

  • Ownership of   KPIs: On Time Shipment %, Inventory Accuracy, Freight Spend, Customer Incidents
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights to guide organizational decisions
  • Track performance of 3PL and freight partners to support organizational needs
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives with measurable impact on service and cost    

Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, hazmat, EHS, and FDA regulations
  • Drive workplace safety, lead incident investigations, and ensure root cause resolutions
  • Serve as point of accountability for logistic-related audits, CAPAs, and Customer/ Vendor visits


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other relevant degree required; master’s degree in business administration or supply chain preferred
  • Background/experience working for a manufacturing company is required
  • Experience in Management/Leadership role required
  • Experienced in interfacing with diverse levels of management and demonstrated success with sales & marketing teams
  • International supply chain experience preferred

Analytical Ability/ Problem Solving/ Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly collaborative, team player with a continuous improvement mindset

Safety/ Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies
  • Must be able to drive for extended periods of time (4 or more hours)
  • Must follow all rules and safety guidelines for managing electronic devices (especially phones) when driving

Autonomy and Supervisory/ Lead Responsibility:

  • Accountable to be self-directed with Guidance from VP, Supply Chain
  • Overnight travel may be required to interface with 3PL partners  
  • Responsible for leadership and administration for the Warehouse Team and facilities housing Finished Product
  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning Process for the PFPE business segment
  • Responsible for day-to-day decisions that impact Supply Chain / Logistics execution targets
  • Signing authority for QMS – SOPs and change control document management
