At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Program Coordinator to join our team.

The primary responsibility of the Program Coordinator is:

  • Have full knowledge of the use of the Patient Scheduling System and the ability to schedule clinic appointments
  • Work closely with coding and billing staff to maintain up-to-date insurance, billing, and registration requirements
  • Assist with securing coverage for planned and unplanned absences in the Department
  • Coordinates departmental ordering, tracks and submits appropriately coded invoices to Director; monitors and stays within expense budget.
  • Firm understanding of the key functions of an Occupational Health Department
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to meet the full spectrum of patient/company needs.
  • Work collaboratively with area businesses to connect them with necessary occupational health services.
  • Other duties as assigned


The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of medical office experience along with Medical Terminology
  • High integrity, able to follow procedures
  • Ability to be a self-motivated learner, to take initiative in learning the many complex processes
  • Exhibits professionalism at all times, and understands appropriate workplace behavior/communications.
  • Confidentiality is a must

Compensation:

Min: $21.72

Max: $33.67
