About this position
The Advanced Integration Specialist is a hands-on technical role responsible for executing complex medical data and system migration projects for healthcare customers. This role requires deep prior experience in a medical domain (e.g. data migrations, integrations, L4 PACS/VNA support) understanding network protocols including DICOM and HL7, strong and recent hands-on SQL/database usage, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This position is intended for experienced professionals who can ramp quickly, be able to drive and take ownership of complex migration projects and contribute immediately with minimal oversight.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
- Healthcare or database-related education preferred
Experience:
- Experience supporting or leading complex technical integration or medical data migration projects, with the ability to operate independently
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL and databases
- Experience working with healthcare systems and medical data, including HL7 interfaces and/or DICOM-based migration processes
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-facing technical support, including issue diagnosis and resolution
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical, project, and operations teams to deliver migrations successfully
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent migrations or workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Position Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to the successful execution of customer data and system migration projects, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and post-migration activities
- Assist with configuring migration environments and processes in collaboration with Integration Specialists and technical teams
- Monitor active migrations to ensure performance and accuracy, including throughput, data integrity, storage status, and system health
- Diagnose and resolve migration-related issues, including failed jobs, partial data transfers, and interface exceptions (e.g., HL7)
- Prepare and maintain migration documentation and reports, including project status updates, issue logs, and post-completion reviews
- Configure and test inbound and outbound data interfaces in coordination with customers to optimize performance
- Participate in migration testing, validation, go-live preparation, and customer communication to address technical risks and dependencies
- Perform post-migration reviews and contribute recommendations for process improvements, optimizations, or product enhancements
- Support non-standard implementations or custom configurations as required
- Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner, including participation in technical calls and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify migration process issues and collaborate with senior team members to propose and implement improvements
- Adhere to established procedures, work instructions, and quality management system (QMS) requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to migration processes, tools, and documentation
- Perform other duties as required to support business and customer needs
