About the role


We are seeking a strategic, relationships-focused Account Director to lead key client relationships with our incredible clients and guide projects from briefings to execution.


You'll lead the growth of the B2B and B2C client portfolio by developing and delivering strategic marketing solutions and high-performing programs that support business outcomes. The ideal candidate loves being hands-on, has a strategic marketing mindset, an entrepreneurial approach, and excellent relationship and project management skills. A level of experience with Production will be essential for this role.


You’ll be joining our team of EPs & Creative Directors in LA, and work closely with our Accounts team based in Sydney, Australia. 


This role is based in our Glassell Park / Cypress Park office, where you’ll be joining a high-performing team in an environment that values pushing creative boundaries and breaking lazy binaries.


Responsibilities


Client relationships: 

  • Be the primary point of contact for key accounts. 
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through strong account planning and excellence in campaign and project delivery.
  • Participate in client presentations and negotiations to secure new accounts and expand existing ones.
  • Manage senior global clients with stakeholder management and approvals.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients through strong account planning and excellence in campaign and project delivery.


Project management

  • Lead and direct cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of campaign, retail, digital, brand activation, and creative production projects.
  • Resolve challenges creatively - balancing support for our clients without sacrificing quality.


Financial management: 

  • Oversee project budgets and retainers, forecasts, and financial performance to maintain profitability and cost-effectiveness.


Business development: 

  • Collaborate with the business development team to craft compelling proposals and pitches for prospective clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential areas for account growth across each of the core disciplines with existing clients.


Strategic planning: 

  • Drive strategic planning, ensuring campaigns are aligned with clients' objectives and maintain a high level of creativity and innovation.


Team management: 

  • Work collaboratively across timezones, primarily with our Australia-based Global Account Director & Senior Account Director, as well as our teams in NYC.
  • Lead and direct cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of campaign, retail, digital, brand activation and creative production projects.


Experience & Skills


EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL

  • 4-7 years of experience in account management or client services, creative advertising, marketing, content and/or production.
  • B2B experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of post-production workflows, especially with design and animation. 
  • Experience working in a global environment and navigating time-zone-based collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume content pipelines across multiple accounts and platforms.
  • Strong digital skills with a strong understanding of digital platforms & technical/production requirements, along with social platforms.
  • Proactive approach to client leadership and account growth. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and build client relationships.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.

EXPERIENCE - DESIRABLE

  • Production experience is highly desirable.
  • Business, Marketing and Communication Degrees are desirable, but not required.
