About the Role:

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary objective is to manage guest seating efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. You will coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth operations and timely seating, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to handle reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries effectively. Ultimately, your efforts will help foster a warm atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and enhances the establishment's reputation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physical tasks related to seating guests.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills to operate reservation and seating software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a host or in a similar front-of-house role in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with reservation management system Resy.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local dining trends and customer service best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists using the establishment’s booking system.
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any seating-related issues or complaints professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area.
  • Monitor dining room capacity and adjust seating plans to optimize guest experience and operational efficiency.
