About Us:

Electric Power Systems, Inc. is a unique company offering a wide range of experience and education in the area of power system operations, design, consultation and studies; petroleum industry controls; and general engineered systems. We provide extensive services from planning studies, design and construction, to periodic testing and maintenance. We are currently seeking a friendly and skilled Expeditor to join our Anchorage team.

Responsibilities:

•    Ensures orderly receipt and shipment of materials.

•    Expediting material and equipment using company-provided transportation and trailers.

•    Maintains organization of the shop and yard area.

•    Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.

•    Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.

•    Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.

•    Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations

•    Coordinates seasonal tire change overs and basic vehicle maintenance for multiple vehicles.  

•    Must be able to frequently perform proper light and heavy (50# minimum) lifting.  

•    Able to receive direction via multiple means of communication such as email, and phone call/verbal.  

•    Attention to detail and accurately accounting for time spent on projects. 

•    Familiarity with Alaskan logistics and means and methods of prompt material delivery and receipt is a plus.  

Requirements:

Electric Power Systems, Inc. is a smoke and drug free company.  Must maintain a Class A CDL A driver’s license with an insurable driving record.  The selected candidate will be expected to obtain at the companies expense, if they don’t already possess,  IATA and 49 CFR certifications for the shipment and handling of hazardous goods within 3 months of employment.
