Job Objective/ Summary
The responsibility of a Utility Aide is to maintain a high level of sanitation throughout the Dining Services department, including, properly receiving, handling and storing of supplies.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Properly store all produce, frozen foods and staples in proper areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room, vacuum carpet, clean walls and doorways, clean windowsills, move tables, equipment, set up for special functions.
- Maintain floors, wall, vent hoods and large equipment in kitchen area, following all weekly and daily cleaning and sanitation schedules.
- Empty all trash receptacles as needed, cleaning before returning them to kitchen area.
- Maintain sanitation standards.
- Adhere to The Estates at Carpenters’ policies and procedures, including those covering privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and codes of conduct. Maintain confidentiality and respects resident’s privacy at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

- Attends and participates in orientation, training and educational activities as required.
- Dresses appropriately, following appropriate dress and uniform policies and guidelines.

Requirements

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

- Must be able to provide official grade transcripts of the education level provided on the employment application.

- Must have valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive).
