We are seeking a Psychiatric Safety Shift Supervisor to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, coordination, and security of our facility and the individuals we serve. What You’ll Do

• Plan, assign, direct, and inspect the activities of safety/security employees during assigned shifts.
• Conduct shift briefings; communicate individual status updates, policy changes, and operational priorities.
• Validate staff attendance and appearance; assign posts and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and regulations related to custody, security, and treatment.
• Respond to unusual occurrences, emergencies, and critical incidents; ensure prompt and appropriate assistance to individuals served.
• Monitor employee interactions and oversee the movement and search procedures of individuals served.
• Evaluate behaviors and de-escalate critical situations through effective leadership and intervention.
• Review disciplinary matters involving both employees and individuals served; recommend corrective action when appropriate.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to assigned employees; participate in hiring, evaluation, and development activities.
• Ensure all post orders and emergency procedures are current and that staff are trained in proper implementation.
• Resolve complaints and provide immediate corrective guidance when necessary.
• Prepare daily logs, records, and reports in accordance with management direction and compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience

• Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare or mental health treatment setting (required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required).

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid driver’s license (required).
