OFF-HOURS DISPATCHER (Driver Advocate) – NIGHT & WEEKEND SHIFT

Farmington, NY • Full-Time • $21–$23/hr

Leonard’s Express is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, calm-under-pressure Off-Hours Dispatcher to support our drivers overnight and on weekends. At Leonard’s, dispatchers are called Driver Advocates because you’re the first call when a driver needs help — and the person who keeps freight moving safely and on time.

If you like solving problems, making decisions, and being the steady voice people rely on, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and track loads to ensure on-time delivery
• Handle driver calls and resolve issues related to safety, routing, equipment, or customer needs
• Communicate updates to customers, planners, and internal teams
• Manage “hot” loads and time-sensitive freight
• Review incidents/accidents and coordinate next steps
• Keep TMW/ISAAC messages updated and accurate
• Support driver retention by providing professional, respectful service
• Set up after-hours carriers and issue EFS codes when needed

Pay & Benefits

• $21–$23/hr based on experience
• 40 hours/week, 8–10 hour shifts

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of dispatch or transportation experience
• Superior computer skills and phone etiquette
• Strong communication and customer-service instincts
• Ability to prioritize fast-moving situations
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions
• Experience with TMW, TMT, or similar systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• High school diploma or GED

Schedule

This is a 2nd/3rd shift position. You must be available:

• Weekdays between 4 PM – 6 AM
• Weekends & holidays (all day)
