About the Role
As a Solo OTR CDL-A Operator, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Green Transportation. You'll be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of a Class A commercial vehicle, delivering freight to our valued customers, and representing our company with professionalism and pride.
️ Key Responsibilities
• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and professionally
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Follow FMCSA and DOT regulations at all times
• Plan routes and manage schedules effectively
• Communicate consistently with dispatch via email/phone
• Coordinate loading/unloading procedures with partners
• Handle freight inspections and assist with unloading as needed
• Maintain all required paperwork: BOLs, PODs, fuel receipts, trip sheets
• Respond appropriately to adverse driving conditions
• Uphold and demonstrate Green Transportation’s values and policies
✓ Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Valid CDL-A License
• 2+ years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, push/pull, and operate manual pallet jacks
• Willing to travel OTR and be based out of or commute to Holland, MI terminal
Preferred:
• Prior logistics or transportation industry experience
• Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT regulations
Compensation & Benefits
• $1,500 Weekly Average Guarantee
• Mileage & hourly rates based on experience
• $60 per outbound stop
• $40 per additional inbound pick/drop
• Detention pay (inbound & outbound)
• $100 extra pay for planned two-day layover trips
• Weekly schedule: Depart Sat/Sun, Deliver Mon/Tues, Return Thurs/Fri
• Guaranteed 34-hour reset each week
Work Environment & Travel
• 100% over-the-road tractor-trailer driving
• Frequent travel required across regional and long-haul routes
• Full-time, exempt position
Relocation
No relocation assistance provided. Candidates must be able to report to our Holland, MI terminal.
