Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) seeks an Account Representative to join our Survivor Services team. The Account Representative must be detail-oriented and with a customer service focus on supporting employers, members, and benefit recipients with life insurance and survivor benefits. This position applies knowledge of survivor services statutes and regulations to research, analyze, and communicate moderately complex information to a diverse audience.
Success in this role requires respectful communication, good listening, strong collaboration with others, and consistency in reviewing and assuring the accuracy of financial and written information prior to distribution. Responsibilities also include ensuring accurate billing and premium payments, as well as determining member status, group life insurance eligibility, and available benefits.
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Four (4) years of related responsible experience that demonstrates solid customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business, finance, customer service or other related field.
Salary: Begins at $43,763 if annualized
