Role Overview

The Community & Discord Manager owns the internal creator community experience for TikTok Shop. You will be responsible for building a vibrant, high-performing creator ecosystem that drives weekly GMV through engagement, coaching, education, events, and direct communication.

You’re part community architect, part coach, part operations manager — ensuring our hundreds of internal creators are informed, motivated, and delivering performance-aligned content.

This is a full-time North America role with high visibility, high accountability, and direct impact on revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the internal creator Discord community, ensuring it is active, organized, and performance-driven.
     
  • Build and execute the creator engagement strategy, including events, announcements, incentives, and challenges.
     
  • Coach creators directly on content quality, best practices, TikTok Shop features, and performance optimization.
     
  • Run daily community operations — answering questions, moderating discussions, sharing updates, and directing creators to resources.
     
  • Host bi-weekly coaching sessions or AMAs, supporting creators on trends, hooks, and performance tactics.
     
  • Develop channel structures that support education, communication, and collaboration (announcements, wins, inspiration, peer chat).
     
  • Surface top performers and inactive creators to the Creator Partnerships Manager for incentive or re-engagement strategies.
     
  • Create digestible TikTok updates and distribute them to keep creators informed about platform changes.
     
  • Maintain the resource library — best-performing hooks, starter kits, FAQs, selling guides, and trend recaps.
     
  • Collect creator feedback via polls, surveys, and community discussions to improve the program.
     
  • Drive creator retention through recognition programs, incentives, and ongoing support.

  • Creator engagement rate inside Discord (daily active users, message participation, session attendance)
     
  • Creator content output per week
     
  • GMV generated by internal creators
     
  • Creator retention, activation rate, and churn reduction
     
  • Response time and quality of community support

30 Days

  • Learn all systems, creator archetypes, and community workflows.
     
  • Take ownership of daily Discord operations.
     
  • Launch the updated community engagement calendar.
     

60 Days

  • Host your first coaching sessions and implement new engagement formats.
     
  • Improve community response times and overall participation.
     
  • Launch a resource library and trend-sharing workflow.
     

90 Days

  • Deliver measurable lift in creator output and GMV.
     
  • Build a scalable community framework that supports 300+ active creators.
     
  • Establish monthly challenges, incentive programs, and coaching systems.
     

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 2–4+ years of experience in community management, creator relations, influencer marketing, or social media
     
  • Deep understanding of TikTok culture, creator behavior, and social-first content
     
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
     
  • Experience hosting events, workshops, or live coaching sessions
     
  • Highly organized and able to manage high-volume community engagement
     
  • Fast execution and a proactive mindset
 
  • Experience using Discord communities at scale
     

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with TikTok Shop, GMV Max, or social commerce ecosystems
     
  • Background in content creation, trend analysis, or creative strategy
     
  • Experience building creator programs or educational resources
