Course OverviewGame Art, Assets & Animation I is the first of two courses in visual game design. This course introduces students to foundational concepts and principles of art and asset creation for digital games. With a focus on game art, aesthetics, and genre, students learn to design and create visual assets used in interactive media.

Students explore both analog and 2D animation techniques while developing characters, environments, and game-ready assets. The course emphasizes creative problem-solving, visual storytelling, and practical workflows for game production, with Blender used as the primary digital tool.
