Quality Technician


Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring quality requirements are met throughout the shift. The Quality Technician will perform a variety of duties to meet these requirements, including but not limited to:


This is a night shift position. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track Scrap through-out shift to work with QE, ME, and Team Leads to solve quality issues. This helps avoid repeat issues through-out the shift.
  • Make Quality call’s on product with QE that can be reworked instead of scrap.
  • Make sure W.I. are correct on production floor.
  • Help answer and train operators on quality questions.
  • Help with Internal audits. Make sure Quality and PM checks are complete daily.
  • Oversee and assist in GP-12 quality calls and the removal of GP-12. This role going forward should help us bridge the gap between Final inspection and GP-12.
  • Help cover problem board meetings.
  • Audit Self Check Items from HQ.
  • Complete all required paperwork neatly and in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned or designated

Skills and Experience

  • H.S. Diploma.
  • Some knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft office)
  • How to operate Hand gages.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Physical Work Conditions

  • Must be able to work in a hot environment.
  • Must be able to lift varying weights
  • Must be able to push or pull carts of wheels.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when required.
