Summary:
The Harley-Davidson Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Harley-Davidson® motorcycles to factory standards. This role is revenue-producing and performance-driven. The technician directly impacts customer satisfaction, service profitability, and dealership reputation. Efficiency, accuracy, and pride in workmanship are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Harley-Davidson motorcycles

  • Accurately document all work performed on repair orders

  • Complete work efficiently to maximize flat-rate productivity

  • Perform services and repairs to Harley-Davidson factory standards

  • Identify additional service needs and communicate them clearly to Service Advisors

  • Conduct road tests and quality checks as required

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Use dealership tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems properly

  • Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies

  • Stay current with Harley-Davidson training and certifications

Performance Expectations (KPIs):

  • Flat-rate efficiency and productivity

  • Comeback and rework percentage

  • Repair order accuracy

  • Hours produced vs. hours available

  • CSI and customer satisfaction scores

Qualifications:

  • Harley-Davidson technician experience preferred

  • Valid motorcycle endorsement and driver’s license

  • Ability to lift motorcycles and work on feet for extended periods

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
