Available Shifts:

  • First Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am -      3:30pm
  • Second Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm -      2:00am (includes 10% shift differential!)
  • Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 5:00am – 5:30pm      (includes 25% shift differential!)

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' experience with Mills and or Lathes. Must be able to set up, operate, and verify the quality of work on a wide variety of parts involving tight tolerances.

Requirements:

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all job requirements per documented procedures, routings, CNC programs, inspection instructions, tool lists, SPC instructions, and any other related documents and instructions.
  • Operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on various material work-pieces.
  • Takes full ownership of work area and assumes responsibility for outcomes and results. 
  • Routinely perform basic and complex set-ups and make offsets/work coordinates as needed. 
  • Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures and cutting tools using hand tools and tool length off-set equipment. 
  • Transfers programs and offsets from servers or USB drive to computer numerical control modules.
  • Review job router/traveler for pertinent job information such as work center designation, job size, machine rates, SPC requirements, etc.
  • Load and unload work-pieces manually or with material handling equipment.
  • Checks accuracy of work against blueprints/specifications using advanced gaging techniques for product conformity and is able to interrupt and translate data into necessary adjustments.
  • Perform surface finish operations using sanding and deburring using finishing materials, hand tools and power equipment if required.
  • Monitors work-pieces and equipment throughout the machining process to detect issues. Reports quality, process, cycle time, etc. variances to supervisor or lead as soon as they are identified.
  • Ensures coolant and hydraulic oil levels are maintained and changed as required. Performs routine PM checks. 
  • Performs inventory material handling including retrieving, moving and storage of material, tooling, and work-pieces. 
  • Makes recommendations for process and cost improvements to appropriate personnel.
  • May provide training to employees.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe environment and maintains 5 “S” standards. Complies with safety rules including PPE and OSHA standards. 
  • Participates in Lean initiatives eliminating wastes including overproduction, defects, transportation, waiting, inventory, motion and over-processing.  

 




Salary Information

$20.80 - $39.10 Hourly Wage
