MATERIAL HANDLER

Job Title: Material Handler Department: Receiving

Eventide Inc, located in Little Ferry, NJ seeks full time material handler. Responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and handling material such as electronic components, printed circuit boards, packing materials, and metalwork.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Receive materials (serialized and not serialized) in ERP system

Count, sort, weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on purchase orders

Receiving Inspection for metal parts and printed circuit boards

File receiving documentation to assist Finance and Accounting

Organize materials in warehouse to optimize space (should be able to move around pallets)

Unload materials from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand

Organize bins, and shelves in stock room identifying category, size, or type of material

Knowledge of material storage based on material type (Circuit boards, Power Supplies, Metals etc.)

Prepare kits for Contract Manufacturers including packing and labeling electronic components

Prepare Kits for Production and apply FIFO methodologies

Proficient with cycle count, concepts on inventory accuracy, inventory shrinkage and scrap

Follow up and trace material, work with vendors for RMA materials

Required Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of Material Handling issues

Basic reading, writing, addition, and subtraction skills

Ability to routinely lift products/packages weighing 50 pounds

Basic knowledge of office computer systems like e-mail and inventory control systems

Knowledge of MS Excel and Inventory Management certification is a plus

Local candidates preferred. This is a 5-day onsite position

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.

Must be able to move around pallets (necessary equipment will be provided)
