  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • The Registered Respiratory Therapist is expected to have higher knowledge, skill and ability level than the Certified Respiratory Therapist, and to routinely perform at that level. Administers respiratory care therapeutics and diagnostic services with skill and proficiency. Routinely integrates knowledge, skills and experience to promote optimum care for the patient.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Associate Degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from CoArc Accredited program.

    • Minimum Experience
      • 1-year clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • Successful completion of advanced practitioner exam for RRT and Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy license required for hire.
      • ACLS must be obtained within 12 months of DOH or transfer
      • BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer
      • PALS required within 12 months of DOH or transfer.

      • Training experience in multiple age populations.

    • Preferred Registration/License/Certification
      • NRP
