Position Summary
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality assurance and food safety activities to ensure all products meet regulatory, customer, and company standards. This role leads quality technicians, monitors production processes, conducts inspections, and enforces compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and other SQF/FSMA requirements. The Quality Supervisor investigates non-conformances, supports root-cause analysis, drives corrective actions, and partners closely with Production to maintain continuous improvement. This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting audits, training employees on quality programs, and ensuring a safe, consistent, and high-quality food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Primary person for assignment of lot numbers based on production schedule
- Is responsible for maintaining and implementing food safety standards
- Identify food safety and quality risks
- Enforce company policies, procedures & GMP’s
- Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and product holds, coordinate dispositions with management
- Lead, schedule, and train quality technicians; provide coaching, performance feedback, and development.
- Coordinate schedule for technicians
- Perform scheduled duties with quality team including pre-op, operational inspection, batch monitoring, product evaluations, sampling, weight measurement, allergen testing, etc
- Supervise quality technicians and work to develop technician abilities
- Work closely with production, sanitation and maintenance to maximize product quality and reliability and minimize cost
- Overseeing and coordinating retain program
- Ensuring lab equipment is in working order and calibrated
- Commercialization’s of new equipment
- Ensuring all in-house testing gets completed
- Monitor Quality Department supply inventory
- Oversee micro program and ensure samples are sent to the lab for analytical and microbiological testing
- Review and approve quality records, COAs, and laboratory results
- Making all product Certificates of Analysis and sending them to the customers
- Preforming Environmental Swabs weekly across all facilities
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent work experience
- In depth knowledge of plant sanitation, HACCP, FSMA, SSOP and GMP program writing
- Experience in supervising projects & team activities
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule Working knowledge of food regulations, such as FDA, USDA and FSMA

- Must be able to problem solve, show high attention to detail and be self-motivated.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Must have understanding of SQF standards
