POSITION SUMMARY
The Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance, 
safety, and cleanliness of company properties. This position ensures all grounds, forecourt areas, 
parking lots, and exterior facilities are properly maintained, safe, and presentable at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Performs routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and landscaping.
• Maintains cleanliness of parking lots, sidewalks, forecourt areas, fuel islands, and exterior 
spaces.
• Removes trash and debris from company property, including high-traffic areas.
• Performs minor exterior repairs such as lighting replacement, signage upkeep, and basic facility 
repairs.
• Power washes sidewalks, buildings, and fuel areas as needed.
• Monitors property for safety hazards and reports maintenance issues promptly.
• Assists with seasonal duties such as snow removal, salting, and leaf removal.
• Operates and maintains landscaping and maintenance equipment safely.
• Conducts routine inspections to ensure grounds meet company appearance and safety 
standards.
• Follows all safety procedures and uses required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
1–3 years of grounds maintenance, landscaping, facilities maintenance, or related experience 
preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Knowledge of groundskeeping and landscaping practices.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, 
power washers, etc.).
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment handling.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
Certifications & Licenses:
Valid driver’s license may be required.
Other Requirements:
• Ability to travel between locations if assigned multiple sites.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
