Local Sales Manager – WDRB Media | Louisville, KY

WDRB Media is seeking an experienced Local Sales Manager to lead and grow our local sales organization in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is responsible for driving revenue performance across broadcast and digital platforms while developing a high-performing, collaborative sales team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who can balance strategy, coaching, and client engagement. This position works closely with the VP/Director of Sales to set direction, support sellers in the field, and help shape the future of local revenue growth.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of local sales professionals
  • Partner with sales leadership to set goals, priorities, and growth strategies
  • Support revenue development across broadcast, digital, and emerging platforms
  • Spend time in the field with sellers, strengthening client relationships and sales strategies
  • Help drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance
  • Represent WDRB Media in the local business community and with key advertisers

  • Proven leadership experience in media sales, with a track record of driving results
  • Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Solid understanding of broadcast and digital advertising
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and grow new revenue opportunities
  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of broadcast or media sales experience
  • Prior sales management experience preferred
