About this position
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and pipeline infrastructure projects throughout the Atlanta metro area and surrounding communities.
This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who excels at client relationship management, cross-functional coordination, regulatory compliance, and driving complex infrastructure projects to successful completion.
What you will do:
Project Management & Execution
· Lead the full project lifecycle—from scoping and feasibility through design, permitting, construction, and closeout—for water, wastewater, and pipeline projects.
· Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocations.
· Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
· Oversee procurement, contractor performance, and contract compliance.
Client & Stakeholder Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, funding agencies, and community partners.
· Proactively communicate project updates, milestones, risks, and key decisions to clients and internal leadership.
· Build and maintain long-term client relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and exceptional service.
· Facilitate coordination with engineering teams, field personnel, regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.
Funding Compliance
· Prepare and submit funding applications, progress reports, reimbursement packages, and closeout documents.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant state and local funding programs impacting water and wastewater infrastructure.
Technical & Regulatory Oversight
· Provide technical direction on water treatment, wastewater treatment, and pipeline systems.
· Oversee design reviews, environmental documentation, permitting, and regulatory submissions.
· Ensure all project work adheres to federal, state, and local guidelines, including EPD, EPA, and local jurisdictional standards.
· Support development of technical proposals, scope documents, and engineering assessments
What you bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license.
· Minimum 5 years of project management experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, pipeline, or municipal infrastructure projects.
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local water/wastewater funding programs and program implementation
· Strong working knowledge of engineering, construction, permitting, and regulatory processes related to water/wastewater facilities.
· Proven track record of client management, stakeholder coordination, and leading cross-disciplinary teams.
· Ability to read engineering plans, review technical documents, and manage consultant/contractor performance.
· Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Atlanta region.
