Description:
Medical Needs of School Population
- Lead and attend Medical Care Plan meetings for appropriate students
- Manage/Document dispensing of all student medications/OTC and prescriptions as applicable
- Manage school-wide health protocols/policies
- Maintain/order medical supplies as needed
- Provide classroom/field trip medical bags in all grade levels as applicable
- Provide medical bags for Retreats/Mission Trips
- Maintain disinfection of health office/equipment/supplies
Emergency Medical Procedures
- Maintain AED/Epi-Pens and provide training to faculty/staff on emergency medical procedures
- Facilitate CPR/First Aid training for faculty and staff
Immunizations/Health Screenings
- Audit/Document and keep up-to-date immunization records for student population according to Texas Department of Health
- Perform health screenings annually as required by Texas Department of Health
- Complete annual reports as required
Communication
- Parent notification for immunization records/screenings
- Parent notification regarding illnesses/medical issues/school health procedures
