Golden Gate Veterinary Specialists - Surgery Department, part of AOSN, is seeking a Client Service Representative to join our team. We are a veterinary practice staffed by two highly experienced, board-certified surgeons specializing in small animal procedures. Our facility is equipped with advanced imaging technology, including a state-of-the-art computed tomography (CT) scanner and high-resolution digital X-ray equipment, enabling detailed diagnostic assessments. Additionally, we perform a wide range of specialized procedures such as minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries, arthroscopic joint evaluations, complex orthopedic repairs, and soft-tissue surgical interventions, all aimed at providing comprehensive and personalized care for our patients and clients. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including but not limited to):
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, and genuinely personable to foster a welcoming environment for clients and patients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, team members, and veterinarians
  • Capable of multiple roles including duties such as greeting clients, managing surgical appointments, and handling phone inquiries
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including familiarity with veterinary practice management software (Ezyvet), electronic health records, and Microsoft Office Suite


Duties (including but not limited to):
  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing information and directing calls as necessary
  • Demonstrates excellent phone etiquette
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills with clients and pets, ensuring positive interactions in waiting areas and exam rooms
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars, perform clerical duties such as data entry and document preparation
  • Provide support to office management by assisting with various tasks
  • Opportunity to learn technician tasks such as taking vital signs
  • Perform maintenance duties to uphold clinic cleanliness and safety standards
  • Effectively communicates to veterinarians for appropriate action
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical and administrative records
Education and Physical Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar clerical role is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer support skills with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and office management software
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Physical ability to walk, bend, stand, squat, and reach continuously during a 10-hour shift

Salary Information

$21.00 - $27.00 Hourly Wage
