Description:

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of RD&S’s invoicing processes. This includes data collection, processing, and distribution of all invoices. The Billing Specialist will work closely with Operations and Office Staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all customer invoicing.

  

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process all invoicing for the Service and Construction department, including but not limited to Time & Material, Planned Maintenance, Fixed Fee projects, Parts Invoices and AIA invoicing 
  • Ensure that each invoice meets RD&S’s internal requirements and had obtained proper approvals
  • Generate and analyze necessary reporting to verify that final invoicing figures reconcile with project documentation
  • Review all invoicing prior to distribution to confirm that all remittance information is accurate and customer instructions are followed
  • Interact with customers to resolve any billing issues
  • Collaborate with Accountant to assist with timely collection of all open receivable balances 
  • Work with Service team and Project Managers to ensure timely invoicing and that all monthly cutoffs are met
Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Billing Specialist (or similar) role
  • Strong understanding of billing and collections processes in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people skills and willingness to collaborate
  • Experience working in a high demand, fast paced industry
  • High-level problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities
