About this position
Description:
Loan Officers facilitate the lending process by interviewing applicants, analyzing financial data to determine creditworthiness and guiding customers toward a suitable product. Duties include:
- Loan Origination & Processing: Interview applicants, gather financial documentation, and process loan applications with accuracy.
- Underwriting & Analysis: Evaluate credit reports, income, and debt-to-income ratios to determine creditworthiness.
- Decisioning: Approve or deny loans within established lending authority limits.
- Customer Service & Counseling: Explain loan options, terms, and interest rates to consumers, helping them choose the right products.
- Sales & Business Development: Promote bank products to new and existing customers to meet financial goals. Be active in the community through involvement in civic organizations, boards and other activities.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to federal, state, and Bank policies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years in customer service, banking or financial services
- Understanding of lending regulations, credit reports, and financial analysis
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, proficiency with loan origination software and other technology
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Professionalism
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
