Position Overview

We are currently searching for a Production Supervisor to join our team at our New Bremen location. As a Production Supervisor, you will plan, organize, and manage all activities related to the production and shipping of our products, ensuring alignment with our corporate vision, mission statement, and core values.

Qualifications

To be successful at Opus Packaging, you need:
    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within the corrugated industry.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement mentality.
It’d be great if you also have:
    • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related business field.
    • 5 years of supervisory experience within the corrugated industry.
    • Solid decision-making skills.


Daily Responsibilities

During a normal workday, you can expect to:
    • Lead the production team to achieve corporate goals by planning and directing production activities and establishing production priorities based on customer needs.
    • Implement and maintain safety and quality procedures within the department.
    • Develop and achieve production efficiencies by effectively managing operations in areas of setup, run, waste, and downtime.
    • Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of customer demands, equipment failure, or operating problems.
    • Build and maintain an effective production team.
    • Coordinate production activities with purchasing, maintenance, and quality control to optimize production and utilization of resources, machines, and equipment.
