Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and estate planning, with a passion for providing excellent support to our attorneys. The successful Paralegal will be responsible for managing files and documents, conducting research, and assisting with case preparation. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including conducting legal research, preparing documents, and filing court papers.
- Manage and maintain accurate and organized files and documents using document management systems such as Filevine.
- Review and analyze documents and evidence related to litigation and estate planning cases.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses, and take detailed notes.
- Proofread documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
- Support the project management process by coordinating tasks and deadlines.
- Assist with environmental law cases, including research and document preparation.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments, particularly in patent law.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective communication and case outcomes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the attorneys.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as paralegal studies or a related legal field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a paralegal role, with a focus on litigation and estate planning.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in document management systems, including iManage.
- Excellent research and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interviewing skills.
- Experience with project management and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with environmental law and patent law.
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
