Position overview: The position is responsible for:Activities related to the cutting and labeling of wallpaper samples.Activities related to the cutting of fabric samples in preparation of sewing activities.Safe operation of computer guided cutting machine.Safe operation of automated labeling equipment.Ensuring the quality control for all samples being manufactured. Including, but not limited to, correct products, correct labels, and quality of finished goods. Ensuring orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to customer requirements.Maintaining inventory accurately and according to company policies.Escalating safety, quality, and any other issues that may arise during the operation.Meet or exceed any productivity standards.Participate in all training exercises.
Key Responsibilities: Maintains a safe and clean work environment.Safely operates any equipment, including, but not limited to, computers, cutting equipment, automated finishing systems, forklifts, voice or RF picking equipment, and labelling equipment.Potentially able to operate at heights of ~25’ high.Processes orders according to established department policies and procedures.Partners with the internal teams, as needed, to meet and exceed customers’ service expectations.Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.Maintains or exceeds the standards that have been set for the team, demonstrates commitment, and is accountable for results.Work closely with New Sampling, Demand Planning, and New Collections departments. Meet or exceed new product launch schedule dates.Ensure all product replenishment orders are processed according to company policies and procedures. Inspect wallpaper and fabric for flaws, correct pattern, and other specifications.
Professional experience: Set up and operate machinery for production, including cutting, finishing, and labeling equipment.Measuring, verifying wallcovering sizes, and making calculations before production.Perform routine maintenance checks. Prior experience in textiles and wallcoverings preferred.Familiar with inventory and warehouse management concepts and systems. Experience with RF, voice pick is preferred.Strong math skills (addition/subtraction/division/fractions).Able to distinguish colors and patterns (not color blind).Able to lift to 35 lbs.Able to push and pull rolling carts and pallet jacks. Able to stand/walk up to 8 hours per day. Excellent computer skills, preferably in an Infor ERP environment. Must be able to use MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word.OSHA Forklift Certified (Sit-down forklift, man-up Order Picker). Able to operate and work at heights of ~25’ high.Outstanding follow-up skills.
