Spanish Teacher

George School, an all-gender Quaker boarding/day high school located in Newtown, PA, seeks a Spanish Teacher beginning August 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities 

• Teach Spanish language and richness and variety of Hispanic cultures.
• Responsible for all aspects of lesson planning, instruction, and assessment.
• Foster a dynamic, interactive, and engaging learning environment.
• Partner collaboratively with Spanish teaching team and other members of Language Department.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish; native speaker preferred.
• Experience teaching Spanish.
• Familiarity with Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate curricula is a plus.
• Experience using or integrating technology tools to enhance teaching and learning.
• Openness to exploring innovative teaching strategies and emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• A willingness to take pedagogical risks to enhance student learning experiences.
• Dedication to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
