About this position
Position Description: Duties:
Examine and diagnose using x-rays including Panorex, Bitewing, Peri-apical films
Place composite fillings
Provide local anesthesia
Place sealants
Provide dental prophylaxis, exam, fluoride
Possible calculus debridement when necessary
Crowns PFM or gold (we utilize a dental lab for fabrication of crowns)
Simple extractions we have the equipment; however, all extractions may be referred out
Create, review, and update dental policies/procedures
Serve as Dental Director
Serve on the SCDJJ medical committee
Note: Third molar extractions, root canals, and existing orthodontics are referred out.
We have a full-time dental assistant onsite who will assist in all procedures. Fully equipped dental clinic with newly acquired equipment necessary to perform dental procedures.
Certification:
The certification is that they must be licensed to practice dentistry in SC and their license issued by the State Board of Dentistry.
Schedule:
The hours are negotiable; however, the preferred schedule would be 3 days a week, 8:304:30. We have flexibility on the days and some flexibility on the times.
