GenCare Lifestyle at The Village in Granite Falls is a Premier Senior Independent, Assisted Living Community. We have an immediate opening for PT food servers to join our amazing team. 

PT Benefits: Paid sick (1 hour for every 40 worked, able to roll over max of 56 hours), if working over 19 hours per week 401K eligible after 6 months with up to a 4% employer match after one year of employment, quarterly raises, First Choice Health Employee Assistance Program, quarterly raises for hourly employees, free meal at work.

• Assist the Culinary Manager and/or Cook in smooth operation during all meal times.     
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and following instructions .
• Comply  with regulatory requirements and company policy with dress code, serving  food, dining room cleaning, hand washing, hygiene, dishwashing, preparation and storage of food, maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room and storage areas. 
• Serve meals to residents in accordance with the Culinary Service Manual.
• Read menus and become familiar with the location of supplies in the kitchen and with specific items needed for service. 
• Know and complete assigned shift duties and cleaning responsibilities in accordance with specific shift. 
• Perform dishwashing duties, utensils, pots and pans. Demonstrate proficiency of necessary kitchen equipment 
• Clean the dining room including tables, chairs, and floor as soon as possible after each meal .
• Observe the practice of safety and sanitation. 
• Provide and forward in an expeditious manner any community complaints and concerns to the culinary Director. 
• Ensure and demonstrate competency with knowing all names of the community residents and establish an immediate rapport with new residents. 
• Demonstrate consistency in respect and patience for residents, family and team members
• Ensure efficient use of supplies. 
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency procedures, hazardous chemicals including  Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) notebook that are job related.
• Utilize cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer’s specifications by following instructions of the appropriate MSDS and Gencare Lifestyle policy.
• Notify Culinary Manager of supplies as needed. 
• Provide dining room cleaning in compliance with company policy, local, state and federal regulations.
• Assist  with team member training and covering other shifts if required. 
• Observe and notify the Executive Director of any unusual behaviors, concerns, or occurrences, in the community.
• Ensure self-compliance with all Gencare Lifestyle company Policies and Procedures and all Boarding Home rules and regulations.
• Complete all other duties as assigned. 
• Promote and comply with resident rights.

 Qualifications:  Minimum of eighteen (18) years 

• High School graduate or equivalent, helpful.
• Minimum fulfillment with criminal background checks every two (2) years and thereafter.
• Ability and desire to work well with people of all ages, especially seniors.
• Fulfill responsibilities in a friendly, compassionate, and pleasant personable manner.
• Required to read, write, and speak the English language fluently with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
