Elford is seeking an experienced MEP Manager with a strong electrical background to support projects from preconstruction through commissioning. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in electrical coordination, field execution, and technical leadership across complex projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage electrical and MEP activities, from early coordination through commissioning and closeout

Mentor and support MEP Coordinators, with emphasis on electrical systems, constructability, and system performance

Drive electrical, MEP, and commissioning quality standards in partnership with QA/QC

Support prefabrication planning and execution for electrical systems in the shop and field

Assist preconstruction with electrical/MEP budgets, bid packages, and work plans

Collaborate with VDC and trade partners to ensure models support accurate installation and commissioning

Perform and document field surveys of existing electrical and MEP conditions

Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure work is safe, coordinated, and ready for commissioning

Ensure model-based installation translates effectively to the field

Support owner demonstrations, training, and system turnover, ensuring electrical and MEP systems perform as intended

Qualifications5–10+ years of experience with electrical and MEP systems, including commissioning and closeout

Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and low-voltage systems

Proven experience leading or supporting commissioning activities on complex projects

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (not required)

Electrical or MEP trade experience may substitute for a degree

Commissioning credentials such as CCP, BCxP, or similar preferred; PE, LEED AP, CHC, or electrical licenses a plus

Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Procore, PlanGrid, or CMiC
