About this position
Davis GMC Buick in Lethbridge is seeking a high-level operational leader to oversee our Service and Parts departments as a Fixed Operations Manager.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Fixed Operations Manager will be accountable for operational discipline, leadership development, and continuous improvement across the largest business unit in the dealership.
This role is best suited for an experienced automotive leader who is ready to step into an established, structured dealership environment and immediately contribute at a leadership level, not learn the basics of fixed operations management. Our departments are stable, staffed, and performing; the opportunity is to elevate performance, develop leaders, and drive consistency across the operation.
The successful candidate will be expected to quickly understand the business, gain the trust of an experienced team, and lead through influence, structure, and accountability. Compensation includes salary and performance-based bonus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Accountability
- Lead, support and coach Service and Parts Managers in achieving performance objectives and operational consistency
- Establish clear expectations and hold leaders accountable to agreed standards
- Reinforce alignment between all dealership departments to operate as one business unit
Operational Performance
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including productivity, effective labour rate, gross profit, parts inventory health, and customer satisfaction to drive overall operational efficiency and profitability
- Identify performance gaps and implement structured solutions
- Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Standardize processes to ensure a consistent customer experience
- Improve workflow, communication, and departmental coordination
- Implement operational changes with measurable follow-through
- Maintain strong operational discipline across the departments
People & Culture
- Develop future leaders within Service and Parts
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
- Foster a professional, accountable, team-oriented environment
- Champion the Davis culture and values through daily actions
Customer Experience
- Ensure customer experience standards are consistently executed
- Support advisors and managers in handling escalations and complex situations
- Promote long-term customer retention and loyalty
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of leadership experience in automotive service or parts operations
- Strong operational and financial understanding of fixed operations
- Proven ability to improve performance in a structured environment
- Confident communicator able to lead experienced teams
- Highly organized, decisive, and accountable
- GM experience is a must and other OE experience a valued asset
- Valid driver’s license
